In the breeding season, large populations of flamingos and pelicans gather here, creating beautiful scenery.<\/h4>\n<h4>Most visitors come not only for the landscape, but also to meet the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe are nomadic bushmen who live from what nature provides \u2014 gathering wild fruits and hunting with bows and arrows. You\u2019ll cross rolling farmland (with sunflower and teff fields) and Maasai herders with cattle.<\/li>\n<li>From Karatu, continue on the B144 and A104 towards Arusha.
