Saadani National Park hotel tips

Saadani is where the beach meets the bush. It is the only park in East Africa with an Indian Ocean beachfront. Saadani is a popular day trip for people staying in Zanzibar, as it's the closest safari park.

Most of the major safari animals aren't present or easily seen. The wildlife-viewing circuit is small, and it lack's wilderness appeal with human settlements all around.

Saadani's wildlife specials are the shy red duiker, the endangered Roosevelt's sable and green turtles, for which the park is a breeding site. The park's diverse landscape includes savannah, woodland, and coastal vegetation. Visitors can explore the mangrove forests along the Wami River, which is the park's main source of water. The park offers a range of activities, including game drives, boat safaris, and walking safaris.
