Do I need a visa to enter Tanzania?
Yes, you need a tourist visa to enter Tanzania. Applying for the visa can be done online here.
You can also buy your visa upon arrival at the airport, or when entering the country by land in your car. The cost is US$50,- cash only (US$100,- for USA citizens).
What are the required vaccinations for Tanzania?
A vaccination is required if you travel from a country with Yellow Fever risk (from the age of 1+). This does not apply to travellers who have been in transit. The vaccine provides lifelong protection. Find the list of countries with a risk of virus transmission here.
Entry requirements for Zanzibar
As of October 1st, 2024, all visitors (excluding residents) to Zanzibar must have mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation.
