Ruaha National Park accommodation tips
Ruaha is Tanzania’s second largest national park (after Nyerere) and offers excellent wildlife viewing. It is particularly good for spotting predators, including large prides of lions and the endangered wild dog. Elephants and a variety of antelope species are another big draw to the park. It also has outstanding wilderness appeal – the landscape is scenic and diverse, with rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and vast plains. Additionally, the park is home to over 500 bird species, making it a great destination for birdwatchers.
Because Ruaha lies in the South and is not part of the Northern Safari Circuit, it does not get crowded.
