Miandrivazo doesn’t offer much in terms of sights, but it’s a handy stop to break up the long drive between Antsirabe and Morondava (about 11 hours without stops). A night here will make your journey much more comfortable.

Things to do
- Sunset trip on the Tsiribihina River – Local guides offer short canoe rides at sunset. It’s a peaceful way to end the day, and your hotel can easily help you arrange it.
- Rest and recharge – Use your stop in Miandrivazo to relax, as tomorrow’s road will be bumpy and long again.

Route
- Start on the RN35 for ~150 km.
- Then turn left to follow the RN34 to Miandrivazo.

- Choose a simple lunch at a local restaurant or gas station along the way.
- Alternatively, bring a lunchbox from your hotel in Morondava.

Optional Stop
- Lac Tritriva (just before Antsirabe). Here, you can hike or cycle around the emerald green lake; a nice stopover if you have time.
